3 Days in Santorini: A Travel Diary
Santorini isn’t just a destination — it’s a mood.
Whitewashed buildings, cerulean domes, golden sunsets — everything here feels like a postcard you can walk into. I spent three days on this Greek island and left with a camera full of photos and a heart full of memories.

Here’s how it went.
Day 1: Arrival & Fira by Sunset
We landed in Santorini just after noon. A quick transfer brought us to our cliffside hotel, where every room had a view that seemed unreal.

  • Dropped bags.
  • Had a fresh Greek salad with local olives and feta.
  • Explored Fira’s winding streets and quaint shops.

Sunset? Magical. The sky turned from gold to rose to deep violet. We found a quiet viewpoint above the caldera and just sat in silence, watching the day end over the Aegean.
Day 2: Volcano Tour & Oia Charm
We booked a boat tour to the volcanic islets — walking on black lava soil and swimming in hot springs felt like stepping onto another planet.

Afternoon brought us to Oia, the famous village known for that view.

  • Bought handmade jewelry from a local artist
  • Tried “Tomatokeftedes” (fried tomato balls — delicious)
  • Watched another unforgettable sunset, this time with a glass of local white wine

Tip: Get to Oia early or book a rooftop spot — it gets busy at golden hour!
Day 3: Beach Vibes & Departure
We headed to Red Beach for a change of scenery. The cliffs here are Mars-red and dramatic, the sea warm and inviting.

  • Swam.
  • Snacked on grilled octopus and tzatziki.
  • Took way too many photos.

We wrapped up the trip with a lazy lunch by the water, already planning our return.
✨ Final Thoughts
Santorini isn’t just beautiful — it’s calming, energizing, and deeply romantic (even for solo travelers).
It’s the kind of place where you don’t just “see things” — you feel them.

If it’s not on your bucket list yet — move it to the top. Trust me.
